Miss Tanzania contestants training camp in Dar


A total of 30 young ladies have opened a training camp at the Giraffe Hotel in northern coastal shores of Dar es Salaam to gear up for the event to be held at adate to be announced later by the organisers.
The event’s coordinator Hashim Lundenga said the camp has been set up to provide in house training to the contestants before the final duel.



He said so far everything has been going on smoothly and fans should expect a thrilling show at the end of the camp.
The camp has been used several times in the past and proved a huge success to win confidence of the organisers for another return.


The contestants for the beauty pageantry include those who won zonal events and others who excelled in the Miss Universities.
Winners of the show will be a flag bearer for the country at the Miss World. The beauty pageantry has now become a household event and usually attracts huge entries since its revival in 1994.
Miss Tanzania has so far remained an annual event not to be missed by its stakeholders. The event has also been a life-changing to most of the contestants who have been wining cash prizes, cars and lucrative business contracts.


Tanzania Breweries have remained as one of the most outstanding supporters of the event for the third year running taking over from Vodacom Tanzania.
The brewers promise a successful event with fabulous prizes ser aside to the eventual; winners in various categories.


The organisers have so far declined to mention the date of the event which is much awaited by the show’s fans. Reigning Miss Tanzania is Brigitte Alfred who is currently in Indonesia competing in Miss World.
